Mala-Making Workshop

Everyone Welcome

Enjoy a peaceful Sunday afternoon with us, making your own 108-bead mala to take home with you.

A mala, like a rosary, is a string of beads used for keeping count while reciting, chanting, or mentally repeating a mantra. For Buddhist practitioners, malas are revered as precious, becoming more powerful and meaningful the more they are used. Both beautiful and spiritual, people often carry their mala with them or keep it very close by.

In this workshop learn how to make your own mala. We will provide all the materials you need; you will be able to choose your own bead pack when you arrive.

Included will be a brief explanation on the meaning, purpose and how to recite mantras.

Cost: $35 plus materials

The cost of the materials will vary depending on the type of beads you choose. We will make up bead packs and you can choose and pay for them when you arrive.

No charge for members except cost of materials

Refreshments will be served
