Prayers for world peace
There is a lot of fear, worry and insecurity in the world right now. How do we cope with it? What can one person do to make a difference?
In light of the difficult situations around the globe, Buddhists pray.
When we train our mind in being peaceful, our peace ripples out and affects those around us. We can learn how to become a beacon of peace for ourselves and for others.
Join us for an inspiring teaching, a peaceful meditation and beautiful prayers.

About the prayers
Prayers for World Peace is a set of prayers, compiled from traditional sources, that inspire us to cherish others. In the introduction it explains how this works to create world peace:
If everyone sincerely prays to be able to cherish others, then gradually, through the power of this prayer, everyone will actually cherish each other. The world will then be permanently at peace, and everyone will experience pure, everlasting happiness.
The Teacher
Juan has been a student and teacher in the New Kadampa Tradition for over 15 years, in the US, UK, and Canada. He has taught kids and adult classes at KMC Brooklyn, KMC NYC, KMC Vancouver, and grades 3K-5th in eight different schools in the NYC Public School system. He has also trained NYC Public School teachers to teach meditation, and held workshops for parents. As a trained actor and artist, Juan brings unique creativity, warmth, and joy to his teachings. He loves his wife, his rescue boxer Padre, and his rescue budgie Sandy very much.
