Enjoy a peaceful Sunday afternoon with us, making your own 108-bead mala to take home with you.
A mala, like a rosary, is a string of beads used for keeping count while reciting, chanting, or mentally repeating a mantra. For Buddhist practitioners, malas are revered as precious, becoming more powerful and meaningful the more they are used. Both beautiful and spiritual, people often carry their mala with them or keep it very close by.
In this workshop Colleen Neely and Rebecca Bond will teach how to make your own mala. We will provide all the materials you need; you will be able to choose your own bead pack when you arrive.

About the Teachers
Colleen Neely and Rebecca Bond have been sincere practitioners at KMC Vancouver for many years and are well loved for their kindness and joy. They particularly love anything to do with Buddhist arts and crafts. A few years ago Colleen underwent a six month intensive training at Manjushri KMC in the UK learning all the stages of making Buddha statues. Rebecca is often to be seen creating beauty in our meditation room — she loves that this is part of her spiritual practice. We are very fortunate to have such a qualified Teachers leading this mala making workshop.
