Living with hope

  • KMC Vancouver 1833 Victoria Diversion Vancouver, BC, V5N 2K2 Canada (map)

Our 30th anniversary year in Vancouver kicks off with a course on Mahayana Refuge and Bodhisattva Vows. What better way to celebrate 30 years of Kadam Dharma in Vancouver than by connecting with the vision that inspired Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso to found our centre in 1996!

The Bodhisattva's way of life offers real answers to the troubles in the world and in our life. A Bodhisattva trains in the paths of compassion and wisdom and dedicates their life to serving others. This practical, accessible spiritual path really helps people transform feelings of overwhelm and fear into joy and hope.

We can become modern-day, Canadian Bodhisattvas! Our ordinary way of life will become the Bodhisattva’s way of life, and just by our example we will have a profound effect on those around us.

This course will comprise practical teachings and meditations and is open everyone, Buddhist or non-Buddhist. You are welcome to attend just the morning, or if you wish, stay for the whole day and take, each at your own level, the Refuge and Bodhisattva Vows in the afternoon.

The Teacher

Gen Kelsang Delek, the Resident Teacher of KMC Vancouver. Gen Delek’s extensive experience and excellent example are well appreciated by her students. With her practical approach and clear explanations of even the most profound of Buddha’s teachings, Gen Delek inspires us to put Dharma into practice in our daily lives. We are very fortunate to be able to study and meditate with such an experienced Teacher.
