Introduction to Buddhism

Join us for our summer series reflecting on what it means to practise the Buddhist way of life in our modern society. These classes are for everyone – aspiring (and experienced) meditators and those who are curious about Buddhism.

If you have ever asked yourself…

  • Who is Buddha?

  • What can I learn from Buddha’s life and teachings about my potential for deep happiness?

  • Why do so many experts talk about the benefits of meditation?

  • How can I improve myself and the quality of my life?

…then our summer series may be what you are looking for!

Join experienced Kadampa Buddhist meditator and teacher, Inkeri Meharg, as she shares her wealth of experience and insight into the transformative and inspiring story of Buddha and his teachings—practical and beneficial wisdom for today’s world that you can apply to your own life.

Based on the book Introduction to Buddhism by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, which is available for purchase at the class, these meditation classes are for everyone. They include two guided meditations, a practical talk on a different topic each week, and time for Q&A at the end.

Each class is self-contained, so you are welcome to join at any time. No previous experience is required.
